FUNdamental Tennis was founded in 2017 by Kristin Summers with the principle in mind to help young aspiring tennis players learn how to play the sport of Tennis from the ground up. Kristin focuses on the fundamentals so that players learn how to play the game competitively and safely – all while keeping the FUN in Fundamental. Tennis is a lifetime sport and Kristin aims at creating the bond between the player and the game through learning while having fun.

Kristin has been playing Tennis for over four decades – starting at the age of 8 and playing in both High School and at the Collegiate levels. She started teaching Juniors 15 years ago and is USTA Junior Certified. Seven years ago she started coaching Boy’s and Girl’s high school tennis at Upper Moreland High School in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. She founded Fundamental Tennis in 2017 with only 5 Junior members – that number increased to 165 total members by 2020. In March 2021 she moved to Hartwell, Georgia where she wanted to build the same junior program she had done in Pennsylvania.
