Coach

Chase Jorensen is a resident of Hartwell and a graduate from Hart County High School. As a Bulldog, Chase was honored as an MVP of the team and first team all region. He is graduate in Criminal Justice at Mars Hill University (DII). Before Joining Fundamental Tennis, Chase served as a tennis coach at the Country Club of Asheville. Chase has extensive knowledge of the sport and will serve as an excellent Fundamental Tennis Coach for young athletes.

Junior Coach

Aubrey Alewine is a resident from Hartwell and a proud member of the Hart County tennis team for five years. She has trained with Fundamental Tennis for over two years and will serve as a Junior Coach. As a competitive athlete, Aubrey enjoys challenging herself to become one of the best on and off the court. As Aubrey stated, “Tennis has played a significant role in shaping the person I am today, teaching me valuable life lessons about determination, discipline, and resilience.” Aubrey hopes to continue playing in college, as well as pursuing a career in marketing. When she is not playing, Aubrey is active in dance and enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family.

Junior Coach

Lyla Phillips is a resident of Hartwell and is an incoming Sophomore at Hart County High School. Lyla had a successful Freshman season for Hart County High School Tennis. She has been a part of Fundamental Tennis for over a year. She will continue to train while stepping into a new role as a Junior Coach for the 2023 season. She has hope to continue playing tennis at the collegiate level and studying for a degree in Linguistics. When not on the courts, Lyla has a passion for baking and cooking all things sweet.
